Due to continued success and an increasing order book, we are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Miller – Programmer / Setter to join our team.

We are looking for an exceptional CNC Miller with significant experience working within a precision engineering environment, with proven experience in programming and setting CNC milling machining centres.

The Role

As a CNC Miller – Programmer / Setter, your main responsibilities will include:

• Programming and setting CNC milling machining centres.
• Producing low-volume, high-value complex components to tight tolerances.
• Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings.
• Working from computer-generated models.
• Selecting and applying appropriate machining methods.
• Applying your knowledge of different materials and machining techniques.
• Ensuring components are manufactured accurately and to the required specification.

Requirements the successful candidate will ideally have:

• Proven experience as a CNC Miller / Programmer Setter.
• Significant experience within a precision engineering environment.
• Proven experience programming and setting CNC milling machining centres.
• Experience producing complex, high-value components to tight tolerances.
• The ability to work confidently from engineering drawings and computer-generated models.
• A Time Served background.
• Minimum GCSE and City & Guilds / ONC qualifications.
• Experience with Heidenhain controls would be a distinct advantage.
