Job Description:

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in Wigan, with an ASAP start available. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maths Teacher seeking a long-term position, with the role initially running until at least Christmas and the potential for a permanent appointment for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, joining an established Maths department and making a positive contribution to the progress and achievement of pupils.

• Maths Teacher - KS3 & KS4

• Planning and delivering engaging and appropriately challenging Maths lessons

• Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Maths department and wider school

The successful Maths Teacher will join an established department and will be expected to quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and colleagues, while delivering consistently strong Mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4.

The position is initially available until at least Christmas, making it an attractive opportunity for a teacher looking for secure long-term work. There is also the possibility of the role developing into a permanent position, depending on the needs of the school and the suitability of the successful candidate.

The Ideal Maths Teacher

The school is looking for a committed and enthusiastic Maths Teacher who can make an immediate impact.

You will ideally:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Have experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Mathematics
• Possess strong subject knowledge across the secondary Maths curriculum
• Be confident planning and delivering high-quality lessons
• Have high expectations of pupil behaviour and achievement
• Be able to differentiate effectively to meet a range of learning needs
• Build positive relationships with pupils
• Work effectively as part of a wider Maths department
• Demonstrate a genuine commitment to helping pupils achieve their potential

Experienced Maths Teachers are encouraged to apply, as are teachers with strong recent secondary Mathematics experience who are looking for their next long-term opportunity.
