Mobile Maintenance Electrician
Permanent, Full Time
Salary: £42,000 + Commercial Van
Hours: 7.30am – 5.30pm (45 hours includes travel time) + Regular Overtime, On-Call 1 in 5 weeks
Location: Warrington with travel to Wigan, Preston and Liverpool

Our client, a leading provider of integrated facilities management and infrastructure solutions is hiring for a Mobile Maintenance Electrician to support our maintenance contract with Avanti West Coast.

You will provide planned, preventative, and responsive maintenance across various train stations, rail-related offices, and platform buildings. This role requires a multiskilled approach, combining electrical expertise with wider building maintenance capabilities. You will predominately work out of Warrington & Preston train stations however will also have responsibility to maintain Wigan, Runcorn & Liverpool.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake electrical maintenance, repairs, and compliance work, including fault finding, emergency lighting tests, fuse board inspections, PAT testing, rewiring, and repairs to sockets and switches.
• Carry out general building maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry and minor fabrication work.
• Support planned preventative maintenance schedules to ensure all facilities remain in excellent condition.
• Respond to emergency call-outs and resolve issues efficiently to minimise service disruption.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance checks.
• Drive and operate a company vehicle responsibly while travelling between sites.

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven commercial electrical experience.
• 18th Edition & NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• Experience in wider building maintenance (multi-skilled preferred).
• Strong multi-skilled fault-finding and repair skills.
• Experience of using digital tools such as tablets, PDA's or electronic forms
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to undergo the process).
• Full UK Driver’s License (no more than 6 points, no drink-driving offences).
