Location - Wigan

Salary/Package - £50,000 - £60,000 + Excellent Benefits Package

Our client is a well-established specialist contractor delivering high-quality internal joinery, commercial fit-out, roll-out, and external cladding projects across the UK. Operating nationally, they provide complete turnkey solutions, combining expert project management, bespoke manufacturing, and specialist installation to deliver exceptional projects for many of the UK's leading contractors and household brands.

With a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and customer service, the business continues to invest in its people, manufacturing capabilities, and innovative construction methods. Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their commercial team based in Wigan.

As Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, you will be responsible for:

• Managing the commercial aspects of fit-out and roll-out projects from tender through to final account

• Preparing accurate estimates and competitive tender submissions

• Producing detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications

• Procuring subcontractors and obtaining competitive supplier quotations

• Preparing interim valuations, applications for payment, variations, and final accounts

• Producing CVRs, cost reports, and commercial forecasts

• Identifying commercial risks and value engineering opportunities

• Working closely with Project Managers and operational teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors

• Supporting project handovers from pre-construction through to successful delivery

The successful Quantity Surveyor / Estimator will have:

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or in a combined QS/Estimator role within the construction industry

• Experience within commercial fit-out, interiors, roll-out programmes, joinery, or specialist subcontracting would be highly advantageous

• Strong commercial awareness with excellent estimating ability

• Experience preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts

• Good understanding of JCT contracts

• Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills

• Good Microsoft Excel and IT skills

• Ability to manage multiple tenders and live projects simultaneously

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Competitive basic salary of £50,000 - £60,000
