SEND Learning Support Assistant's are crucial to the emotional and intellectual development of children, offering 1:1 support that is tailored to their specific additional needs. You will be responsible for assisting with a child's emotional and social requirements.

• Personalised support - adapting activities and communication styles to meet the specific needs of the child you are supporting.
• Empowering independence - guiding pupils through their daily school routine.
• Collaborative working - working closely with classroom teachers to monitor progress and celebrating every milestone, whether that be big or small.
• Personal care - Some students may require elements of personal care which you will support day-to-day.

The ideal SEND Learning Support Assistant will:

• Have previous experience in a classroom setting, particularly working with children with additional needs.
• Prior experience in a 1:1 role.
• Have a warm, empathetic and compassionate approach to children with SEND
• Be resilient and adaptable, with the ability to change their approach to accommodate a child's individual needs.
• Be based in the Widnes area or have reliable transport routes.
