Position: Secondary Supply Teacher
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: £150–£190 per day DOE

Cover People are currently recruiting Secondary Teachers for supply work across Trafford, with opportunities ranging from individual days to short-term placements.

If you're an experienced teacher looking for greater flexibility, returning to teaching, or simply interested in taking on supply work without the commitment of a permanent position, we can offer assignments to suit your availability and subject specialism.

We work with a range of secondary schools across Trafford and the surrounding areas, giving teachers the opportunity to work in different settings while providing valuable classroom cover.

We are interested in hearing from teachers across a wide range of subjects, including:

• English

• Mathematics

• Science

• History

• Geography

• Religious Education

• Modern Foreign Languages

• PE

• Art, Drama & Music

• Design & Technology

• Computing & ICT

• Business Studies

• PSHE & Citizenship

Supply assignments can involve:

• Teaching across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities where appropriate

• Delivering lessons and following plans provided by the school

• Maintaining a positive and purposeful classroom environment

• Managing behaviour in line with school expectations

• Building rapport with pupils quickly

• Adapting to different schools, classes and teaching environments

• Supporting continuity of learning when permanent staff are absent

• Providing feedback to school staff where required

We would like to hear from teachers who have:

• QTS

• Recent experience teaching within a UK secondary school

• Strong subject knowledge

• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills

• The confidence to work independently

• A flexible and dependable approach

• Good communication skills

• A commitment to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

Experienced teachers are particularly encouraged to apply, although ECTs with suitable experience will also be considered.
