Teaching Assistant - Secondary School

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for your next role in a secondary school setting?

Teaching Personnel is working with various welcoming and supportive secondary schools in the Old Trafford (M32) area of Manchester, seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to support students both inside and outside the classroom. You will help create a positive learning environment, provide targeted academic support, and assist pupils in reaching their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students across KS3 and KS4 in lessons.
• Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assisting teachers with classroom management and lesson delivery.
• Encouraging student engagement, confidence and progress.
• Providing additional support for pupils with varying learning needs.
• Always promoting positive behaviour

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or within a secondary school environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting young people.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
